Shipping Policy

1. The Forging Process & Dispatch Times We do not hold mass-produced inventory. Every piece of British Historical Jewellery is forged, sized, and finished to order at our Leeds Corn Exchange workshop. Because of this, please allow 1 to 2 weeks for your piece to be handcrafted before it is dispatched. We will notify you the moment your order leaves the bench and is handed over to the courier.

2. Free Global Insured Delivery We offer complimentary shipping on all orders, worldwide. Because of the high value of our pieces, we use premium, fully tracked express couriers (e.g., DHL, FedEx, or Royal Mail Special Delivery). Your piece is 100% fully insured by us while it is in transit.

3. Customs, Duties, and Taxes (Fully Covered) We believe the price you see at checkout should be the final price you pay. For our international collectors, British Historical Jewellery covers all import duties, customs fees, and local border taxes. Your piece will arrive at your door with no unexpected bills from your local customs authority. (Please note: We cannot control or be held responsible for delays caused by local customs inspections once the package enters your country).

4. Transfer of Liability & Signatures We do not leave £2,000 packages on doorsteps. Every order requires a signature upon delivery. Our insurance completely covers your piece while it is moving across the globe. However, the risk of loss, theft, or damage to the goods passes entirely to you, the customer, the exact moment the package is signed for at your designated delivery address. If you request the courier to leave the parcel in a "safe space" or with a neighbour, you do so entirely at your own financial risk.
