Terms of service

Terms of Service

1. General Overview Welcome to British Historical Jewellery. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the purchase of our goods. By placing an order with us, you agree to be legally bound by these terms. Our primary workshop and business operations are located at the Leeds Corn Exchange, United Kingdom.

2. The Bespoke Contract We do not hold mass-produced inventory. Every piece is forged to order. By purchasing from this site, you are commissioning a custom manufacturing process. Your rights regarding cancellations, sizing errors, and faults are explicitly detailed in our Returns and Refund Policy.

3. Intellectual Property All designs, photographs, branding, and text on this website are the intellectual property of British Historical Jewellery. While our work is heavily inspired by historical eras (Viking, Roman, Saxon, Celtic, and Medieval), our specific reproductions, molds, and modern interpretations are strictly proprietary. Unauthorized reproduction, scraping, or commercial use of our imagery or designs will be met with immediate legal action.

4. Hallmarking and Authenticity We operate with complete transparency and fully comply with the UK Hallmarking Act 1973. All relevant gold, silver, and platinum pieces sold by British Historical Jewellery are independently tested and hallmarked by an official UK Assay Office, guaranteeing the absolute legal purity of the precious metals.

5. Transfer of Risk Due to the high financial value of our inventory, all orders require a signature upon delivery. The risk of loss or damage to the goods passes entirely to you, the customer, the exact moment the package is signed for at your designated delivery address. Please review our full Shipping Policy for detailed delivery terms.

6. Governing Law These Terms of Service, and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services or goods, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
