North Yorkshire Tudor Acorn Earrings

Dress fastenings were small opportunities for ornament, and recorded finds include buttons shaped like acorns. This North Yorkshire artefact preserves a rounded body, raised ridges and a tapered tip. Cast directly from that form and hung from modern ear wires, the drops give an old object a new movement and purpose.

Hand-cast in England: A museum-quality reproduction. Each earring drop is cast individually in our Leeds Corn Exchange workshop and finished by hand. Hallmarked by the London Assay Office in the selected precious metal.
