The bicorporate lion turns the king of beasts into an extraordinary shared-headed form. Double-bodied lions appear in medieval church carving, while bestiaries gave lions a central place in stories of power and Christian belief. This Hertfordshire pendant brings that visual world into a small, striking emblem, cast directly from the original find.
